Tammy Has Suffered a Severe Stroke
Tammy, my wife, has suffered a severe stroke and is currently doing rehab to learn to walk and talk again. I am dedicated to her recovery effort and will not be training horses anymore. I don't have the time and cannot risk injury. I appreciate all of you who have had horses in training and all of you who have inquired about training. Thank you for supporting Blackwater Ranch.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful story it is stories like this that keep my spirits up. I have always had faith that she would recover, and she is, although it will be a long road she is constantly improving.
Tell me more about your Pa's recovery. How is he doing?

John that was a good many years ago already and he did recover to a great extent although did not drive or hunt any longer. He has since had other health issues that cause him to be weak and is currently residing in a nursing home but he is also 85 yo. He is a bullheaded Norse and NA so when he went home from the hospital and therapy after coming out of his coma he refused to do the exercise they prescribed and he lost a lot of the dexterity he would have had if my mom would have cracked the whip over him a bit more. LOL I am absolutely certain your lovely Tammy will rebound a great deal faster and farther partially due to you being the kind to prod her gently and partially due to her wonderful spirit and youthful vibrancy that shall without a doubt serve her and your family very well..
