Plain old Vaseline applied to an embedded tick will suffocate it and cause it to release and fall off. Also witch hazel which can be found at all Walgreens or Wal-Mart soaked on a cotton ball will have the same effect as that which Miriam suggested.…

As for Cut-Heal, it doesn't sound like there is anything in there to kill or repel ticks. I wouldn't use it.

Miriam is the one who suggested camphophenique but it sounds like it will probably work well. You buy that at a drug store not at a feed store. Good luck.

Just recently found ticks in my horses ear. You can apply liquid Ivermectin it kills ticks.

Don't know about the loosing weight thing. You can soak a cotton ball in camphophenique and put it in the ear. Just drop it in there, push it down. It will come back out eventually, and the camphor oil will suffocate the tick. Much better than tryin…
