I was told by other neighbors in the beginning of April that my neighbor that had recently bought a 7yo stud was going to put the horse down. I found this wierd, as they had just had him cut. I went over and talked with them. They informed me then that the 7yo had come back positive on his coggin's but their other one was still neg. I had moved my horse prior to finding this out and brought him home since he was "exposed" to EIA and I didn't want to chance any harm coming to other horses because of me. It turns out that apparently this horse had EIA when they bought him from a lady in Splendora. They say this lady had like 7 other horses, but has none now, and will not admit to the TAHC that other horses were near this horse. I am waiting on them to come back and do a coggin's test on Shiloh. I am hoping and praying that he comes back neg. He was close to this horse one time around dawn, when the horse broke their fence down and came to visit. And that was for a very few minutes. My dogs went off, my husband went out to tell them to shup up, and found the horses in my yard. They put the pos horse down on April 15th, and have a hold on my horse for 90 days. I really hate waiting.
