New to Blackwater Ranch!
Hi all, I am really excited to see there is a place to come close to home. I would like to tell alittle about myself and my horses....
I am a proud parent to 5 wonderful young men...yes, 5 all mine.....ages 25, 22, 16, 12 1/2 (only cause he reminds me daily) and 7.
I am proud to be married to a wonderful man for 23 yrs, he puts up with alot, not very horsey, but is learning. He has retired from the USAF, is now working for a company that supplies oil companies with service and parts.
My boys I couldn't ask for any better...they are great...my 25 yr old is a hard working young man...
My 22 yr old I couldn't be prouder of...He is a Soldier in our US Army, Nightstalkers....he has came along way from giving me grays...
My 16 yr old, had open heart at 4 days old, just watching him grow knowing that durring that time we might have lost him, a true blessing....he is our jokesert!
My 12 1/2, is our drummer, he is in the band, which he loves, he is always beating on something.
My little one, is our spoiled to the core...he gets pretty much all he wants, he beats up on his older brother...just kidding.
We live in the Tarkington area, outside Cleveland to those that have never heard of it before....I have 3 wonderful horses...1 with issues, I am sure you will hear about him in the future and hopeful I can find horsey people here that would care to throw some advice this way. 2 that are wonderful, 1 is now started under saddle, is being back daily and the other 2 are doing ground work. 1 I have been putting the saddle on and to my amazement is comming along better then I could imagine!!!!
On my spare time, I enjoy trail riding, playing with my horses and on rainy days, I tye rope halters...so if anyone is interested, I would be more then happy to tye some for ya, or I can tell you what colors I have...they aren't fancy! They work and last!
Anyway, for now, that is pretty much about me, oh, I am a stay at home...MOM!

I live the Plum Grove area. This seems to be a great site and I am hoping to possibly get advice and look into boarding my horse for a little while. I was going to add you as a friend but I didn't want to be presumptuous. :-)

Julia, Thanks, but really it is Tammy who is great, she is the glue that keeps us all together, healthy and happy. I couldn't do any of what I do without her.
I know what you mean about lots of Johns I used to have to go by little John, My John, Your John, Big John etc. I was in the ARMY for three years in Fort Bliss, El Paso. I know you are nervous about your son but the military has done a great job over there and it is lots safer now than it was. I have had family over there too.
Thanks I think the site is coming together well and I am glad that people are liking it and becoming active in it. The more active everyone is the bigger and better it will be and after a while it will reach critical mass and take on a life of it's own.
I hope JP will join you in your love of horses and the lifestyle, it has really enriched our lives and know it will his too.

Hi John-I have to say, if she has been married to ya for 23 yrs, you much be pretty wonderful, oh, we have 1 more thing in common....My Hubbies name is John too....he goes by JP cause when in was in the AF, there was alot of Johns, so they cut him down to JP. How long were you in the Army? My son has been in for 2 yrs! He leaving for the sands in a couple days, I am soo nervous! You have a really neat site here...I hope to learn alot, I know some, but always learning......
Hi Barbara-I do have a wonderful family....I couldn't be prouder...but like every family we have our days....
I have to admit, the things on my plate I enjoy, I love working with the horses, wish the family would like it as much as I do...hopefully my hubby is sending me the signs, he bought himself a saddle, don't know why are 2 horses here aren't ready for him, and my filly at my friends is just really getting started....8 rides yesterday!!!!! YEAH!
